The death of an icon?

Recently Toyota announced that they would in fact be cancelling the Land Cruiser line in the United States after the 2021 iteration. Every time you are out and about you always see 4Runners, Tacomas, Highlanders, and RAV4s, but seeing any generation of Land Cruiser is rare. The death of the Land Cruiser in the States has been rumored for about a year, and had no verifiable credibility until now.

The Land Cruiser has been a legend for well over 60 years and is arguably responsible for Toyota's success in the SUV market. In fact, the Land Cruiser is Toyota's longest running product line. The land Cruiser costing a whopping $86,000.00 USD, it has become a status symbol for the stealth wealth and anyone looking for a dead reliable mode of transportation that is more than capable off-road.

However, this is not the end of the Land Cruiser everywhere else. The Land Cruiser Prado will still be sold in foreign markets. Toyota has confirmed that the Land Cruiser will return in a new and exciting way in the future, but for now the Land Cruiser's 60 years of glory end here.
